Why are we conducting this survey?
Investigators at BC Children's Research Institute (BCCHRI), the Women's Health Research Institute (WHRI), the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the Centre for International Child Health (CICH), would like to ask you confidential questions in this survey to help (1) inform about the current Open Data practices, and (2) develop workshops and activities that foster a research environment that enables Open Data practices.
Who are you?
You are an investigator, clinician, staff, or trainee who has an interest in advancing an environment of Open Data in women's and children's health.
What is Open Data?
For the purposes of this survey, Open Data Principles are broadly defined and can include (but are not limited to) methods which enable data to be shared publicly and freely, to the restricted sharing of sensitive data made available through curation and/or an agreement.
How long will this take?
It will take 5-10 minutes to complete the survey. The deadline to complete this survey is July 31st, 2022.
How will this data be used?
Only the technical support team at the Centre for International Child Health at BC Children's Hospital will access your information. The individual results of this survey are confidential. When results are reported, presented, or published the project team will remove any information that could identify you or anyone else. The team may use a quote from your comments if provided. Survey data will be stored securely at PHSA for a minimum of 5 years. Survey results will be available on www.bcchildrens.ca/globalhealth after analyses are complete.
Questions in this survey may ask for personal information, including your name, personal views and opinions, and gender. Your personal information is protected by our privacy law in BC. This law is called the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). We are collecting your information under section 26 (e) of FIPPA.
