Welcome to the BC Children's & Women's Informed Consent Training Pathway

This training pathway prepares you to conduct informed consent discussions for research studies at BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital.

The estimated time to complete the training is 2.5-3.5 hours in total across all modules, videos and mock consent training.

Mock consent requirement:

A mock consent discussion with your supervisor or Principal Investigator is required after you complete the course content.

Your supervisor or Principal Investigator will be notified by email that you have signed up for this training, informing them of the mock consent requirement. Please connect with your supervisor early to discuss this requirement and schedule your mock consent, so there is no delay in onboarding.

Certificate/record of completion:
After you complete all course content, submit this survey and your supervisor completes the mock consent sign-off, you will receive a confirmation email and a link to the certificate of completion for your records.
